After completing his Business degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Ted embarked on a journey from Boston to the West Coast. He gained valuable experience managing retail stores in vibrant cities like San Francisco and Seattle, which eventually brought him back to Boston as a Housewares Buyer at Filene’s Department Store. About Betsy Friedman

After earning her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech, Betsy worked as a community development volunteer with the United State Peace Corps in a small village on the tiny island of Sri Lanka for 2 years. This unique early life experience has helped shape Betsy’s ability to problem solve and think creatively throughout her life. After the Peace Corps, Betsy moved to Boston and then San Francisco to work in Sales and Marketing for various software companies. In 2001, Betsy and her husband Ted moved to Barrington, RI to start a family and enjoy living along the beautiful coast of Rhode Island. Over the past 20 years, Betsy has been an active member of the East Bay community. For many years, Betsy has been a soccer coach with the Barrington Youth Soccer Association, a Girl Scout Troop leader, participated in fundraising efforts for both large scale organizations such as Boston Children’s Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute, which hold special meaning to her as well as more local organizations and helped spearhead volunteer events at both her daughter’s schools over the years. Currently, Betsy is on the Board of Directors for Arts Alive, a local non-profit organization, dedicated to providing opportunities for youth in the region, to experience performing arts programs that promote positive development. In 2013, when Betsy was looking for a new challenge, it was a natural fit for her to get her real estate license, as she had been assisting her husband Ted, a REALTOR for many years. Ted and Betsy Friedman formed the Friedman Group in 2013 and since then have been one of the top producing teams in the region, earning the Greater Providence Board of Realtors Circle of Sales Excellence award every year.
