Warren is known as the smallest town, in the smallest county in the smallest state! Located in Rhode Island’s East Bay area and bordered by the town of Barrington to the north and Bristol to the south, Warren is nearly 9 square miles and is situated along the eastern banks of the Warren River. The population is approximately 11,000 and many locals think it has the perfect mix of rural farmlands and urban downtown. Warren is known to have one of the oldest working waterfronts in the area, with a long history of shipbuilding, textile manufacturing and agriculture. Today, Warren is known for its revitalized downtown with some of the best options for dining, shopping and entertainment in the area. Their local motto is “Keep Warren Weird”, and it has more recently become a favored town for local artisans and creatives alike. Along Warren’s historic waterfront district, you will find unique shops, galleries, restaurants and in season, you can stop into the very popular Blount Clam Shack and sit outside to sample all the local seafood the area has to offer.
