Be Kind Like Caroline
Be Kind Like Caroline Foundation was created by Betsy & Ted Friedman in memory of their daughter Caroline who passed away unexpectedly in February 2025 at the age of 21yrs old of complications from Pulmonary Hypertension, a condition she had suffered with her entire life. Caroline was a vibrant, kind and dynamic young woman who inspired everyone around her to be their best selves.
As a family and as a business, the Friedman’s believe deeply in giving back. Each year the Friedman Group will be donating a portion of their income to the Be Kind Like Caroline Foundation as a way to honor Caroline’s legacy and ensure that her spirit of generosity continues to make a meaningful impact in the world.
This foundation is not only a tribute to Caroline – it is a commitment to kindness, compassion and positive change.
Our Mission
Be Kind Like Caroline (BKLC) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to honor and uplift individuals and organizations that reflect Caroline’s extraordinary spirit. Caroline lived with openness, warmth, and genuine care for others. Through this foundation, we support causes and people who embody those same values—creating ripple effects of kindness that reach far beyond any single moment.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to create meaningful and positive change by celebrating generosity, uplifting others, and encouraging kindness in action.
